Charles Albert Chapman, apparently a Virginia native, attended the United States Army's Command and General Staff School of the General Service Schools at Fort Leavenworth, Kan., 1925-1926. In 1926, he began a tour of duty as an instructor at an Army school in Hawaii. In 1931-1933, he was at various Army camps in Illinois.
